How often should I visit the dentist?
The team at Stec Cosmetic and Family Dentistry typically abide by the American Dental Association recommendation that patients visit the dentist twice a year for dental checkups and teeth cleanings. These preventive visits give us the opportunity to prevent many oral health concerns, and diagnose and treat others in their earliest stages.
Can I bring my kids to your office?

What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease is more commonly referred to as gum disease. It occurs when plaque and tartar buildup at and below the gum line leads to irritated or inflamed gum tissue. Eventually, sores form breaking down connective tissue and creating deep pockets between teeth and gums where more plaque and tartar can build up further degrading gum health.
Can you help if I have an Emergency?
We are happy to help our patients of record during dental emergencies. Simply call our office, and we’ll do our best to offer same day treatment. If this is not possible, we’ll take time to explain first aid care you can perform at home to protect your smile until you arrive at our office.
What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are small, titanium posts placed below the gum line that replace the root structure of missing teeth supporting any number of replacement teeth or even holding dentures in place.
